MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. A woman resident of Russia’s town of Vyazma, near Smolensk, charged with high treason, has been freed from a detention center in Moscow in exchange for written promise not to leave her hometown, the woman’s lawyer, Ivan Pavlov, said on his page in a social network.

"The defense’s request for revising the restrictive measure against Svetlana Davydova was sustained by the investigator. She has made a written promise not to leave her hometown," the lawyer said.

According to mass media, Davydova, a mother of several children, last April told the Ukrainian embassy that the barracks of a garrison near her home suddenly went vacant. The woman speculated that the troops might have left for Donetsk. She was remanded in custody at the investigator’s request.
