Russia demands investigation into attack on church in Kiev's Babiy Yar National Memorial
It is not the first time that Ukraine’s nationalist forces are attacking religious holy sites with full appeasement on the part of the Kiev authorities, the Foreign Ministry says
MOSCOW, January 26 /TASS/. The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday that it was outraged by another attack on a Ukrainian Orthodox church committed by Ukrainian nationalists in the territory of the Babiy Yar National Memorial.
“It is not the first time that Ukraine’s nationalist forces are attacking religious holy sites with full appeasement on the part of the Kiev authorities,” the ministry said in a statement published on its website.
“This barbaric act looks particularly sacrilegious in the days of celebration of the 70th anniversary of liberation of the Oswiecim concentration camp by the Red Army,” the ministry went on to say.
“We demand a detailed investigation into the crime and strict punishment for the guilty,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
