Situation on labor market under control, no major problems — PM Medvedev

Russian regions will get $760 million in budget subsidies for organizing temporary employment of people who have lost or face the threat of losing their jobs, Dmitry Medvedev told the government

GORKI, January 26. /TASS/. The situation on Russia’s labor market is under control, there are no major problems, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with the government.

“As far as labor market is concerned, it is under control, and there are no major problems there,” PM said.

Russian regions will get 50 billion rubles ($760 million) in budget subsidies for organizing temporary employment of people who have lost or face the threat of losing their jobs, Medvedev announced.

“Regions will get a total of over 50 billion rubles in federal budget subsidies for implementing additional measures for the support of the labor market in 2015,” Medvedev told a government meeting.

“I have signed a resolution, which endorses the procedure and the terms of distributing this money among Russian regions,” the premier said.
