Russian aviation giant’s head removal from office to be considered Friday
The meeting will discuss the issues of “the early termination of powers” of the corporation’s head and the election of a new president
MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. The board of directors of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) is due to consider on Friday plans on terminating powers of the aviation giant’s president, according to the company’s materials seen by TASS.
The 5-year contract with Mikhail Pogosyan, 58, who has led the UAC since February 2011, is expected to expire in February 2016. The decision on holding the board of directors’ meeting was announced on Monday.
The meeting will discuss the issues of “the early termination of powers” of the corporation’s head and the election of a new president. The press service of the UAC has not commented on the issue.
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), established in 2006, consolidates all major aircraft design bureaus and plants across Russia. Last year, the company’s revenues grew 30% to 285 billion rubles ($4.7 billion).
