Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov considers membership of the Verkhovna Rada delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe inadmissible

GROZNY, December 8. /TASS/. Chairman of Chechnya’s legislative assembly Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov on Monday called for excluding the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

I consider membership of the Verkhovna Rada delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe inadmissible,” he said.

Last Friday, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said the republic would institute criminal proceedings against Ukrainian parliamentarians Yuri Bereza, Andrei Levus and Igor Mosiichuk, who had supported militants’ attacks on a traffic control post in Grozny. They also called for stepping up the attempts to destabilise the situation in Russia, particularly in Chechnya, he said.
