Russia’s parliament speaker hopes for constructive dialogue with Ukraine’s Rada

Sergey Naryshkin has sent a telegram of greeting to new Ukraine's parliament speaker Volodymyr Groysman saying he hopes for a constructive dialogue between the two countries’ parliaments

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Speaker of Russia’s State Duma lower parliament house Sergey Naryshkin has sent a telegram of greeting to Volodymyr Groysman on the occasion of his election as speaker of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada, or parliament, to say he hoped for a constructive dialogue between the two countries’ parliaments, the press office of the State Duma said on Friday.

“I hope for a constructive dialogue between the State Duma and the Verkhovna Rada, including in the format of a bilateral inter-parliamentary commission an the inter-parliamentary group of he Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on Ukraine,” the telegram said.

On Thursday, Ukraine’s new Verkhovna Rada met for its first session after the October 26 parliamentary elections. The Rada elected Volodymyr Groysman as its speaker and approved Arseniy Yatsenyuk as Prime Minister.
