Putin generally satisfied with Russia state defense order situation
Vladimir Putin suggested continued debate on coordination of state defense orders
SOCHI, November 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is generally satisfied with the state defense order situation in Russia's armed forces.
“I am generally satisfied with what is happening in this sphere, though we see that there are some problems in it,” the head of state said at a meeting on development of the country’s armed forces.
At the Friday meeting with representatives of the armed forces and military enterprises which became the final one in a series of such consultations this week Putin suggested continued debate on this issue and coordination of this work with the industry so that all plans would be fulfilled qualitatively and timely. He also noted that the Friday meeting would focus on development of promising weapons and military hardware.
Planned state defense order targets for 2014 almost reached
Vladimir Putin on Thursday said all planned defense order targets have almost been reached.
“Practically all the planned targets (of the 2014 state defense order) have been met,” he said at a meeting on the development of the national defense forces.
According to Vladimir Putin, Russia has identified the types of armaments for the army in the next decade.
“We have identified the types of armaments for military and special hardware, which will be supplied to the army and the navy in the next decade,” he said.
