MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Not a single war crime in eastern Ukraine has been properly evaluated by Kiev, the spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee, Vladimir Markin, said in the context of new criminal cases initiated over the deaths of civilians in Donetsk shelling and an attack on Russian female reporter in Kiev.

Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on Thursday over the deaths of civilians in artillery shelling in Donetsk.

“The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on charges of killing two or more persons and the use of prohibited means and methods of war over the artillery shelling of a hospital and two residential houses in Donetsk that killed a woman and a twelve-year-old child,” Markin said.

The investigators say that on November 27 unidentified persons from Ukraine’s National Guards and Armed Forces shelled Donetsk’s hospital 23 as well as two residential houses.

The fire was opened “with a presumed aim to kill an ethnic group of Russian speakers who live in the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic.”

Thus, provisions of a number of international conventions were grossly violated, including the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the September ceasefire agreement signed in Minsk, Markin said.

He said that another criminal case was opened - over an attack on a female reporter working for Russia’s LifeNews television channel, Yevgenia Zmanovskaya, that had taken place in Kiev on Wednesday.

Investigators say she was attacked in the evening on November 26 by Ukrainian journalists and football fans. She was taken to hospital on Thursday with a head injury.
