Total’s new chief to visit Moscow this week
This is going to be Patrick Puyanne’s first visit since he was elected Total’s CEO to replace his late predecessor Christophe de Margeri who died in an air crash in Moscow overnight to October 21
VIENNA, November 26 /TASS/. Total’s new President Patrick Puyanne will visit Moscow on November 27 to meet business partners.
“Tomorrow, I will be in Moscow,” Puyanne told TASS.
“I am going to meet many people, all our business partners,” the new chief of the French oil and gas company said.
This is going to be Puyanne’s first visit since he was elected Total’s CEO to replace his late predecessor Christophe de Margerie who died in an air crash in Moscow overnight to October 21. A four-seat Dassault Falcon business jet, en route to Paris, collided with a snow plough during takeoff, caught fire and crashed onto the runway at Moscow’s Vnukovo-3 airport. Three crew members and a passenger — Total’s chief executive Christophe de Margerie — died in the crash.
Russian President Vladimir Putin posthumously awarded Total’s late president with the Order of Honour to commend his contribution to strengthening economic and cultural ties between Russia and France.
