Russian Security Council approves draft strategy of resistance to extremism

Russia's government will prepare an implementation plan by June 2015

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russian Security Council has approved the draft strategy of fighting extremism. Now it is to be approved by the president and the government is to draft an implementation plan.

“The draft concept has been approved. The government has been instructed to draw up an implementation plan,” Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev told the media.

In reply to a question from TASS he said that the document is practically ready and the Security Council’s staff will submit it to the president for approval.

The document will be published later.

Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said that the government had been asked to prepare an implementation plan by June 2015.
