MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov believes he has not distorted US Secretary of State John Kerry’s words on a list of global threats, Lavrov told TASS on Thursday.

“The State Department does not deny that the conversation took place,” Lavrov said adding that they said “I was not quite authentic in retelling the contents of a private conversation.”

“I do not think I have violated any ethical norms,” he said. “The conversation was as follows, word-for-word. When I asked John Kerry why the US president in his statement at the UN General Assembly named, as he put it, ‘the Russian aggression in Europe’ a second threat to international peace and security and only then he mentioned terrorist organizations of the Middle East and North Africa, he /Kerry - TASS/ replied that yes, it was said but we should get on with concrete aspects of our co-operation on Iran and on the Korean peninsula nuclear problem.”

“So I do not think I have distorted anything or made any statements that could arouse suspicions of Kerry’s disloyalty to /US President Barack - TASS/ Obama,” he said.
