The main gift, according to a deputy emergencies minister, is warmth, water and light in homes of children

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s humanitarian convoy may deliver Christmas gifts for children in eastern Ukraine, a deputy minister told TASS on Thursday.

“The main gift, in our view, is warmth, water and light in homes of children,” Vladimir Artamonov said, adding that the convoy may also deliver Christmas gifts for children.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry is preparing an eighth humanitarian convoy for eastern Ukraine, he said earlier. "We expect the convoy to depart on November 26-27."

Fuel, mainly gasoline and diesel fuel, will account for about 40% of the cargo, he said.

The Russian Energy Ministry is participating in the preparations.

During the period from August 23 to November 16, seven convoys of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered more than 8,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid cargoes to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. They delivered food products, water, bed linen, electric stations, water filtering stations, medicines and fuel.
