MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev denied reports on Tuesday that he had allegedly filed resignation. “There was nothing like that,” he assured reporters.

In late October, several Russian media outlets reported with the reference to a source in law enforcement agencies that Kolokoltsev allegedly filed resignation. The Interior Ministry did not comment on this report then and the Kremlin said the report was a fake. “Unbelievable fakes are made public on different occasions in ‘quality’ media every day recently,” Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said then, noting that reports on the interior minister’s resignation were among them.

Colonel General of police Kolokoltsev occupies the post of Interior Minister since 2012. Before this, he worked as Moscow police chief.
