MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The Red Square at the Kremlin in the heart of Moscow will host a solemn march on the Day of Military Glory, when 6,000 will march on the square to mark the 1941 legendary parade’s anniversary. Most landmark events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 from the defence of Moscow to the capture of Reichstag will be reconstructed at the march for the first time. Marchers will carry 500 photographic portraits of Moscow defenders who participated in the 1941 parade and died before the present day.

A festive march will end with the showing of weaponry of the Victory, as more than 60 combat vehicles made from 1939 to 1945, including tanks T-38, T-37, T-60, armoured personnel vehicles and warplanes I-153 and MiG-3 for the first time will drive on the square.

The first parade in almost besieged Moscow in which 28.5 thousand participated and which lasted about an hour had enormous influence on the course of the war, because this event contributed to an upsurge of morale in the whole country.

More than one thousand war veterans, including 28 war veterans who participated in the November 7, 1941 parade and who live in Moscow will take honourable seats at stands on Friday. Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia, Heroes of Socialistic Labour and Russian Heroes of Labour are among those invited to attend the parade.
