Putin, Obama may meet on sidelines of APEC summit — Kremlin
The summit will take place in Beijing November 10-11
MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Russia's Kremlin doesn't rule out a meeting of Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Beijing.
According to Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, very intesive contacts usually take place on the sidelines of such major events, and the possibility of a Putin-Obama meeting can't be ruled out.
A representative of the US administration said earlier at the briefing in Washington that Obama expects to have an inofficial discussion with the Russian leader on the sidelines of the APEC and G20 summits.
Leaders of 21 APEC members are due to meet in Beijing on November 10-11. The summit of the Group of 20 (G20) major economies is scheduled for November 15-16 in Australia’s Brisbane.
