"This is further evidence of the real nature of a punitive Kiev operation that has deliberately claimed many civilians' lives," Russian human rights commissioner Konstantin Dolgov says

MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. A Human Rights Watch report on Ukrainian army’ use of cluster bombs in the country's troubled south-east proves "the real nature" of Kiev's military activity, Russian Foreign Ministry human rights commissioner Konstantin Dolgov told TASS on Wednesday.

“This is one more alarming sign that deserves most serious attention,” he said. “(This is) further evidence of the real nature of a punitive Kiev operation that has deliberately claimed many civilians' lives". Russia's Investigative Committee was continuing its investigation, he said.

“These are serious questions. We proceed from the unchanged position that we will be backed not only by inter-governmental organizations such as the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the Council of Europe, but also by human rights activists that thorough investigation of crimes against civilians and violations of supremacy of law principles is needed, with punishment for the guilty."

“It is good that international rights activists have started to pay attention (to this)," the diplomat added.
