Over 100 warplanes take part in former Soviet states air defense drills

Warplanes of fighter, bombing, assault and long-range aviation as well as 130 command control posts are involved in the military exercises

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Seven Commonwealth of Independent States CIS states began air defense drills on Tuesday. Around 100 warplanes of fighter, bombing, assault and long-range aviation as well as 130 command control posts are involved in the military exercises of the united air defense system, the press service of Russian Defense Ministry told TASS.

Air defense forces from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are participating in the drills. The Command Center of the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces in Moscow region supervises these war games.

The crews will conduct maneuvers in the airspace of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
