A united automated digital communications system will be used in the Russian armed forces in future

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. The communications system of the Russian armed forces will soon be completely switched to digital standards, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Maj.-Gen. Khalil Arslanov said.

“In the near future, the basis of the Russian armed forces’ promising communications system will be a united automated digital communications system that will include the space, air, ground and sea echelons, an automated communications control system and an information security system,” Arslanov, who is also head of the Russian armed forces’ Main Communications Department, said.

On Monday, Russia’s Signal Troops mark their 95th anniversary.
