BELGRADE, October 16 /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his visit to the Serb capital Belgrade on Thursday that it was the common duty of Russia and Serbia to remember World War II lessons and counteract any attempts to glorify the Nazis and their accomplices.

“Our common duty is to remember WWII lessons and counteract any attempts to glorify the Nazis and their accomplices,” Putin said at a military parade which he attended in Belgrade on Thursday as part of the celebrations of the Serbian capital’s liberation from fascist occupiers.

The Russian president also urged Russia and Serbia to unite efforts to create the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding in the European continent.
