Russia, Bahrain sign agreements on cooperation in areas of culture and tourism
SOCHI, October 12. /TASS/. Russia and Bahrain have signed two agreements in the area of culture and tourism, Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Viktor Smirnov told journalists on Sunday.
The documents were signed during the Russian visit by the King of Bahrain. “Ministers of culture of Bahrain and Russia signed a programme of cultural cooperation for 2015-2017 and an action plan for cooperation in the area of tourism for 2015-2016,” Smirnov said. “It is planned to continue cooperation in the area of culture and to promote tourist exchanges in view of the launch of direct air service between Moscow and Manama from October 28.”
King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is currently on a working visit to Russia. Earlier on Sunday, he was received by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
