MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed over the phone with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan a number of bilateral cooperation issues, the Kremlin reported Saturday.

The conversation was requested by the Turkish side, the Kremlin said.

Putin and Erdogan “spoke for further development of the Russian-Turkish trade and economic ties, including in the agricultural sphere and high-tech spheres,” the statement said.

When the sides were exchanging opinions on international issues, the emphasis was made on threats posed by the Islamic State terrorist group.
