MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. The developments in the Middle East prove there is persisting threat of the use of chemical and biological weapons, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Thursday.

“In the modern conditions, the threat of the use of chemical and biological warfare agents persists. The recent Middle East developments prove this,” Shoigu said at conference at the Defense Ministry.
