Duma Speaker calls Ukrainian woman pilot detained in Russia a 'filthy killer'
Nadezhda Savchenko is suspected of a murder of two Russian reporters
GENEVA, October 3. /TASS/. State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said here on Friday he had strong objections against applying the phrase "political prisoner" to the Ukrainian woman pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, who was suspected of a role in the murder of two Russian reporters in Eastern Ukraine and who was arrested this summer after penetrating the Russian territory illegally.
He was outraged by the declarations on Savchenko that a Ukrainian representative made on Friday at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European security organization OSCE.
Naryshkin recalled that Savchenko is suspected of a murder of two Russian reporters and it was subject to prosecution.
"Since what time can a filthy murderer be called a political prisoner? It's an absurdity that's beyond me," he said.
