LIPETSK, September 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Launching production lines of the Lipetsk branch of the Ukrainian Roshen confectionary plant, owned by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, has been postponed until the beginning of October, Deputy Director general of the "Russia Roshen" branch Oleg Kazakov told ITAR-TASS. "No problems with deliveries of products for confectionary production are expected," he said.

Earlier reports said that the "Russia Roshen", based in Lipetsk, on September 15 suspended production because of overabundance of confectionary products piled up at its warehouses. The local population of the Lipetsk region are reluctant to buy sweets produced at the Lipetsk factory, earlier reports said.

Roshen confectionary producer suspended production cyclein Russia in March, a lawsuit filed by the Russian "United Confectionaries" holding being cited as a possible reason.

In 2010 the Russian holding filed lawsuits against all confectionary producers in Russia, accusing them of illegal use of former popular Soviet brands. The Lipetsk-based Roshen factory was accused of using an illegal trade mark for one of its sweet brands.

The Roshen Corporation bought the shares of the Russian Lipetsk confectionary plant in 2001. According to Roshen sources, "Roshen" accounts for around seven percent of the Russian confectionary market.
