Yevtushenkov to remain under house arrest unitl November 16
The Basmanny court’s resolution to put Yevtushenkov under house arrest shall remain in force and the defence’s appeal be dismissed, the Moscow City Court ruled
MOSCOW, September 25. /ITAR-TASS/. The board chairman of AFC Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov will remain under house arrest until November 16.
The Basmanny court’s resolution to put Yevtushenkov under house arrest shall remain in force and the defence’s appeal be dismissed, the Moscow City Court ruled.
Thereby the court refused to release Yevtushenkov on bail. He will have to stay at his countryside home in the Moscow Region’s village of Zhukovka.
The court refused to ease other restrictions. Yevtushenkov cannot leave the premises of his home, use mobile telephone or other means of communication, including the Internet, as well as to contact any persons other than the investigators or lawyers.
Meanwhile, AFC Sistema's shares slumped 3.5%, and Bashneft's — 1.7% on news that court left Yevtushenkov under house arrest.
