The project of a gas pipeline from Iran to Pakistan will require $700 million of investments
TEHRAN, September 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia shows interest in constructing a gas pipeline to Pakistan from Iran, Iranian media reported September 20, citing Asghar Soheilipour, head of National Iranian Gas Company’s investment committee.
Russian companies have expressed their preliminary willingness to participate in the project and the Iranian side is waiting for them to discuss the issue in details, Soheilipour said.
The Iranian company plans to build three internal gas pipelines that will allow it to increase gas exports to Pakistan. The project will require $700 million of investments.
