GUANGZHOU, September 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Partnership between Russia and China is a major factor of international policy, Russian Federation Council upper house Speaker Valentina Matviyenko told reporters on an official visit to China.

“Positions of Russia and China are close or similar on key aspects of international policy, in approaches to a just and equitable world order, on settlement of regional and international conflicts and problems, and on joint efforts in response to new challenges and threats,” she said, reflecting on co-operation inside the United Nations and other global agencies.

Issues did not divide the two states, Matviyenko said. “We have settled the border issue and have no outstanding problems or mutual irritators.

“Russia-China relations have reached an unprecedented level, true partnership and strategic co-operation in all spheres,” she added.
