MOSCOW, September 17. /ITAR-TASS/. President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday thanked Russian people for kindness and cordiality they had shown for Ukrainian refugees.

“I would like to thank all our citizens for the kindness and cordiality with which they treated the people who were forced to leave their homes in the East of Ukraine and come to the Russian Federation,” Putin said at a meeting with newly elected governors.

He also thanked all government officials at various levels who had worked with the refugees.
