Roofer wanted by Moscow police for act of hooliganism on skyscraper

MOSCOW, September 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Moscow police have demanded to arrest in absentia a roofer, who painted blue a star on a Moscow skyscraper of a Stalinist epoch situated on Kotelnicheskaya embankment, the press service of the Moscow Head Interior department said Friday.

"The remand sanctions against the roofer in absentia, Pavel Ushevets, nicknamed Moustang, were demanded Friday by an Interior investigator for the Central Administrative District in the framework of a criminal case opened into an act of hooliganism staged on the roof of the Moscow skyscraper," the press service said.

The Russian Interior Ministry said Thursday that Pavel Ushevets had been put on an international list of wanted criminals.

Earlier, Ushevets had circulated a video on the Internet, featuring the act of vandalism being staged on top on the skyscraper.

Four more suspects under prosecution on the same criminal charges had been put under house arrest.

The press service of the Moscow Head Interior department told ITAR-TASS in its latest report that the Taganka court has authorized the roofer’s arrest in absentia.
