Ukraine ceasefire regime generally observed — Lavrov
The Minsk agreements on the Ukrainian conflict settlement are framework, and their clauses will be specified, Sergei Lavrov said
MOSCOW, September 09. /ITAR-TASS/. The ceasefire regime in Ukraine is generally observed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday.
"Russia is against all that may hinder the implementation of the Minsk accords," he said.
"We hope the ceasefire regime will be consolidated in the coming days," he added.
The Minsk agreements [on the Ukrainian conflict settlement] are framework, and their clauses will be specified, Sergei Lavrov said.
"These agreements [the Minsk protocol] are framework to a large extent. These agreements will be specified, and this work is already beginning. The sequence that is mentioned in the protocol will be spelled out," he added.
"Therefore, talking of the importance of the format, linked with the implementation of the agreements, reached in Minsk on September 5, it is inadmissible to forget about the inter-Ukrainian constitutional process, the obligation to launch which had been assumed by Kiev authorities several months ago," the minister said.
"We will seek the fulfilment of these obligations," he added.
