MOSCOW, September 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia hopes to cooperate with the OSCE over the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, Federation Council (upper house) chairperson Valentina Matviyenko said on Thursday.

“We seek to maintain close cooperation with the OSCE. We’re open for interaction and we’re hoping for reciprocity,” she said at a meeting with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Ilkka Kanerva.

“We also hope for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission over the investigation of the MH17 crash [Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777],” Matviyenko said, adding “It seems to us someone is dragging on the Boeing crash investigation in order to hide the names of guilty persons to the tragedy.”

Commenting on the sanctions against Russia, Matviyenko said the countries had continued the dialogue even in the Cold War years. “At present, our deputies were deprived of a possibility to hold the dialogue,” she said.

Kanerva said the OSCE voiced concern over the situation in Ukraine.

He called for developing a stable dialogue in compliance with the OSCE principles.
