Crimea's State Council rules to nationalize Ihor Kolomoyskyi's property in Crimea
"Kolomoisky is one of the oligarchs who initiated and has been financing military operations in southeast of Ukraine where our compatriots are being killed," Acting head of Crimean administration says
SIMFEROPOL, September 03. /ITAR-TASS/. The State Council of Crimea has ruled on Wednesday to nationalize the property of Dnepropetrovsk Governor Ihor Kolomoyskyi on the entire territory of Crimea, said Acting head of the administration of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov.
"Kolomoisky is one of the oligarchs who initiated and has been financing military operations in the southeast of Ukraine where our compatriots are being killed; therefore it is our moral right and our moral duty to carry out this nationalization," Aksyonov told the Crimean parliament.
“The Privatbank that stopped servicing its own clients has not fulfilled its obligations to its clients in Crimea and has not returned the money they deposited. We did promise to the people in Crimea that all the debts, that cannot be settled by the Fund for protection of bank customers, would be paid off at the expense of the founder of Privatbank - Mr. Kolomoisky," Aksyonov said.
Kolomoisky's property in coastal areas in Crimea includes land plots and fueling stations or more than 70 facilities al in all which belong to Kolomoisky or affiliated companies. "All of them will be nationalized and sold out at open tenders; the money raised will be used for compensations to Privatbank’s clients to whom a bill on reimbursement of bank deposits does not apply," Aksyonov said. (Their bank deposits exceed 700,000 roubles).
Aksyonov did not give the overall cost of the confiscated facilities, saying that investigative teams studied the situation.
