MOSCOW, September 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia is interested in enhancing cooperation with the Arab world in settling the Palestinian-Israeli crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after talks with his Tunisian counterpart Monji Hamdi.

“We have no right to forget the oldest conflict in the region, the Palestinian-Israeli one,” Lavrov said. “Our position is confined to the idea all parties should renounce violence and exert efforts for an early resumption of the negotiating process.”

“We hail the efforts Egypt and the League of Arab States have been taking along these lines,” Lavrov said. “We are interested in enhancing our cooperation with the Arab world in settling these issues.
