Russia's Investigative Committee arrests property of Ukrainian tycoon Kolomoyskyi

According to the Investigative Committee, revenues from leasing this property may be used by Kolomoyskyi to finance criminal activities in south-eastern Ukraine

MOSCOW, September 2. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee has declared it has imposed arrest on the office building belonging to one of the companies owned by Ukrainian big business tycoon, Dnepropetrovsk Region’s Governor Ihor Kolomoyskyi.

As IC spokesman Vladimir Markin has told ITAR-TASS, “it has been established that the closed joint stock company Elit-Holding, of which Kolomoyskyi is a co-founder, owns an office building in Moscow and the revenues from leasing this property may be used by Kolomoyskyi to finance criminal activities in south-eastern Ukraine.”

“On the basis of court resolutions the building in question was searched and some documents of importance to the criminal investigation found and confiscated. Furthermore, on the basis of a court order taken in response to the investigators’ request the building was put under arrest and Elit Holding prohibited from taking any administrative action in relation to this property.”
