Duma speaker to visit Turkey to attend president’s inauguration

MOSCOW, August 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Speaker of the State Duma lower house of Russia’s parliament Sergei Naryshkin will pay a working visit to Ankara to attend inauguration of Turkish Republic’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaker’s press secretary Yevgeniya Chugunova said on Thursday.

The Russian delegation also includes the heads of two Russian constituent entities: President of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov and head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.

Turkey held its first direct presidential election on August 10. The country’s incumbent Prime Minister Erdogan won the election, scoring 52% of the vote.
