ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian customs officers from a check point in Ukraine-bordering Rostov region had to evacuate on Monday after fierce fighting in Ukraine had neared the border, a spokesman for the regional customs department told ITAR-TASS on Monday.

“A very loud roar of guns” is heard near the Matveev-Kurgan border check point, prompting the evacuation of personnel, Rayan Farukshin said. According to early reports, the infrastructure of this and another nearby check point is not damaged.
