MOSCOW, August 22. /ITAR-TASS/. The presidential administration chiefs of Russia and Ukraine, Sergei Ivanov and Boris Lozhkin, said in a telephone conversation on Friday that no one could sabotage the movement of the Russian humanitarian convoy in Ukrainian territory, the Russian president’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told ITAR-TASS.

“Both administration chiefs stressed it was impossible to stage provocations against the Russian convoy,” Putin’s spokesperson said, adding Ivanov and Lozhkin had agreed the relief aid should reach the recipients as soon as possible.

Sergei Ivanov, in turn, said that the Russian Foreign Ministry had set forth the Russian side’s arguments and explanations (on the convoy’s movement) in its recently published statement. The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Russia had decided that the aid convoy should start moving towards Luuansk.

“The invention of new and new artificial demands and pretexts (during the cargo’s clearance at the Ukrainian customs) starts looking like a mockery. It is no longer possible to continue tolerating this scandalous situation, open lies and inability to reach any kind of agreement,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its statement.

“Naturally, the ICRC employees are ready to accompany the convoy and participate in the distribution of the relief aid. We hope that representatives of the Russian Red Cross will also be able to take part in this action,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
