Lavrov, Steinmeier discuss aid convoy passage in south-eastern Ukraine
The ministers also discussed further joint steps towards lasting ceasefire and national dialogue in Ukraine
MOSCOW, August 21./ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his German colleague Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed by phone on Thursday the passage of the Russian aid convoy in the south-east of Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministers continued discussing the situation in Ukraine, paying special attention to prompt resolution of problems related to the passage of the Russian aid convoy which are being dealt with in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ukrainian authorities, the ministry said.
The ministers also discussed further joint steps towards lasting ceasefire and national dialogue in Ukraine, following up on the meeting between the top diplomats of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine in Berlin on August 17, the ministry said.
