Russia fears no sanctions, pressure — Medvedev
Our country is strong and no matter who exerts pressure on us, he says
PYATIGORSK, August 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the Mashuk-2014 youth forum on Tuesday that Russia fears no sanctions and no attempts at exerting pressure on it will have effect.
“No sanctions will have effect on our country. You and I understand this very well. Our country is strong and no matter who exerts pressure on us, we will continue to live in our favourite country, develop it, invest money in the improvement of our state,” the prime minister said, answering a question on sanctions of the West.
“Power politics against our country has never been effective. You know this very well. So it will fail now as well,” Medvedev said.
Additional funds, needed for boosting the development of import-dependent agriculture areas will be found, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.
“This will require additional resources and we will find them to overcome the dependence on imports of a number of agricultural crops and certain animal breeding products,” he said.
