Destination of Russian humanitarian aid convoy to be agreed upon with Ukrainian side

MOSCOW, August 12./ITAR-TASS/. The issue of the point of destination of Russia’s humanitarian aid convoy for the population of Ukraine’s south-eastern regions will be decided with the Ukrainian side, spokesman for the Russian Emergencies Ministry Aleksandr Drobyshevsky said on Tuesday.

“The issues of the destination point and transfer of humanitarian aid to Ukrainian residents will be decided jointly with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and the Ukrainian side,” he told ITAR-TASS.

Drobyshevsky added that “Russian Emergencies Ministry’s humanitarian convoy will travel for several days” to the destination.

Russia’s convoy of trucks with humanitarian supplies for the population of the southeast of Ukraine set out early on Tuesday morning. “By order of the Russian government, Emergencies Ministry’s truck convoy with relief supplies for Ukraine’s southeast set out from the Moscow region this morning,” Drobyshevsky said.
