Russia’s Investigative Committee requests arrest of 5 Ukrainian servicemen

MOSCOW, August 08. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee (SK) has requested the arrest of five Ukrainian military servicemen who arrived in Russia, SK spokesman Vladimir Markin said on Friday.

The Ukrainian servicemen are suspected of committing crimes, involving the use of prohibited methods and means of warfare in the southeast of Ukraine, Markin added.

Russian detectives said earlier they have proof that phosphorus bombs were used against civilians in southeast Ukraine.

"Irrefutable evidence" existed that banned weapons were used against civilians in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Vladimir Markin, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman said.
