ALABINO, August 04. /ITAR-TASS/. A Russian major naval missile producer does not plan to participate at international arms show Euronaval due in France this year, the chief of this missile producer Morinformsistema-Agat said at Russian Defense Ministry on Monday.

“We witnessed how Farnborough arms show [major arms show in the UK] ended, when the military exhibition was actually upset. Let’s wait and see how Euronaval will be held in France. This is senseless to exhibit our products in this region. We will go there, talk to partners like tourists, but will not demonstrate anything,” Director-General and Designer-General of the Russian naval missile maker Georgy Antsev said.

If any participants in the arms show have problems with visas and customs clearance, company’s money will be wasted.

“Let’s wait for exhibitions, where Russia will be taken well again without putting up any obstacles to the country. In this regard, Farnborough arms show set a very good example making me drawing proper conclusions as a chief executive who has a serious working experience in the industry,” Antsev added.

The naval consortium’s chief said that its enterprises had improved substantially its position in co-operation with China. “In general, our production is oriented at the East and Asia-Pacific Region. It is clear that these issues are quite difficult, as amounts of export supplies on which we have concluded contracts now, we are fulfilling them, as for all new, I wouldn’t like to say about this until new contracts are signed,” he said.

Antsev named deep-water robotic machinery among promising trends the naval missile producer works on now. “Now we have a very strong program with Far Eastern Federal University in underwater robotic equipment and we are creating a underwater robotic machinery-producing cluster in the Far East jointly with Primorsky territorial authorities [in Russia’s Far East],” the chief of the Russian missile maker said.
