Russia hands over 4 wounded Ukrainian servicemen to Ukraine
Three servicemen being treated at a hospital in Taganrog (southern Russia) and one serviceman from the town of Gukovo (near the border with Ukraine) were handed over to Ukraine
ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 01. /ITAR-TASS/. A Ukrainian airplane has delivered four wounded Ukrainian servicemen who were being treated at hospitals in Russia’s southern Rostov region from the Rostov-on-Don airport to the homeland on Friday, chief press officer of the Federal Security Service regional border department Vasily Malayev told ITAR-TASS.
“Three servicemen being treated at a hospital in Taganrog (southern Russia) and one serviceman from the town of Gukovo (near the border with Ukraine) were handed over to Ukraine. They are soldiers who were taken to Russian hospitals in heavy condition. They have been cured in Rostov region for several days or up to several weeks, their condition allowed their delivery,” Malayev said.
In his words, the airplane departed at around 1 am Moscow time (9 pm GMT) to the Ukrainian Black Sea port city of Odessa.
