Russia, Argentina agree on joint steps to combat transnational crime — Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW, July 31. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Argentina have agreed on further practical steps in co-operation aimed at combating transnational organised crime, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

At a meeting in Buenos Aires on July 30, the Russian delegation was led by Russian presidential special envoy for combating terrorism and transnational organised crime Aleksandr Zmeyevsky, and the Argentine delegation - by Deputy State Secretary for Foreign Policy Maria Carolina Perez Colman.

“The sides discussed a wide range of anti-criminal interaction matters in line with the two countries’ strategic partnership that was given a strong impetus during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Buenos Aires on July 12,” the ministry said. “The sides agreed on further practical steps to implement co-operation in this sphere,” it added.
