Russia's best warplanes to be shown at Aviamix air show

Performances of aerobatic teams are expected to be a highlight of the air show

VORONEZH, July 24. /ITAR-TASS/. The welcome day will be held on Saturday, July 26, at the firing range Pogonovo in the Voronezh region, where air show Aviamix will be held within an international stage of the piloting contest at military show Aviadarts 2014 currenly under way.

“Crews of modern and promising aircraft systems T-50, Sukhoi Su-35, Su-34, Su-30, helicopter gunships Kamov Ka-52 and Mil Mi-28N, fighters, bombers and attack planes of different modifications will take part in air show Aviamix,” spokesman of Russian Air Force Colonel Igor Klimov told reporters on Thursday.

At the air show guests will also watch warplanes and helicopter gunships, military-transport and long-range aviation Tupolev Tu-22, Ilyushin Il-76, Il-78, Tu-160, Mi-8, Mi-24 and Mi-26.

Performances of aerobatic teams are expected to be a highlight of the air show. Aerobatic team Berkuts on choppers Mi-28N, Sokoly Rossii (Falcons of Russia) and Russkiye Vityazi (Russian Knights) on fighters Su-27 will show state-of-the-art flying stunts.

“For 90 minutes, pilots will demonstrate piloting and combat capabilities of aircrafts at altitudes from 50 to 1,500m, Su-25 crews will perform elements of aviation slalom,” Klimov said.

Not only Russian pilots, but also their fellow fliers from Belarus and China will participate in air show Aviamix, he said.

First international piloting competition Aviadarts 2014 opened at a military base of the Air Force Academy in Voronezhin central Russia on July 22.
