MOSCOW, July 23./ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s communications supervisor blocked an anonymous Internet blog, which had published Russian politicians’ business letters, watchdog’s press secretary Vadim Ampelonski told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday.

“We urged the provider of this Internet hosting to delete the letters upon the order of St. Petersburg Smolninskiy court. However, they had not been deleted, so we notified the provider about the blog’s blocking”, he said.

The blog Shaltay Boltay, which published business letters of Russian MPs, ministries’ officials and government members, is operated by a group of RuNet users, who call themselves the Anonymous International. The letters contained the information regarding the officials’ financial operations, real estate and land ownership, as well as the financial status and business projects of several lawmakers and high officials.
