Over 26,000 refugees stay at Russia’s temporary accommodation centers

MOSCOW, July 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said a total of 26,521 refugees from Ukraine were staying at temporary accommodation centers.

“Refugees are given foodstuffs and provided medical, psychological and information assistance. All services render aid to refugees. All conditions have been created,” Puchkov said at a government session on Tuesday.

The ministry’s mobile hospital has been deployed in the town of Donetsk in Russia’s Rostov region, he said.

Assistance has been provided to 480 refugees, he added.

A state of emergency has been introduced in several Russian regions, Puchkov said.

The ministry arranged six air corridors for transporting migrants to several regions, mainly to the Rostov region and Crimea, Puchkov noted.

Totally, over 6,000 people have been transported and over 7,500 migrants have been carried to temporary accommodation centers, he added.
