More than 25 thousand Ukrainian refugees stay in Russia, Ministry of Emergencies says

MOSCOW, July 18. /ITAR-TASS/. More than 25 thousand refugees from Ukraine are staying at Russia’s temporary accommodation centers,” spokesman for the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) Alexander Drobyshevsky reported on Friday.
“A total of 384 temporary accommodation centers have been deployed, they have given shelter to 25,567 people, including 9,836 children. Additional eight mobile centers have been prepared for receiving 3,754 people,” he said.
Telephone hotline for assisting the displaced persons is working in a round-the-clock regime on the base of the crisis management centers of the EMERCOM territorial bodies. A total of 3,453 calls have been made (103 calls per day).
EMERCOM has organized six “air bridges” for airlifting the displaced people to Russian regions from the Rostov region and Republic of Crimea. Drobyshevsky said that over the past day alone, EMERCOM aviation has transported 202 people and a total of 6,065 people. As many as 6,515 people have been transported by motor vehicles to temporary accommodation centers.
Medical assistance has been provided to 399 refugees, including 12 children (33 people per day) in the mobile hospital of the EMERCOM Southern Search and Rescue Team that is operating in Donetsk, RF Rostov region, since July 2.
