MOSCOW, July 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said the time has come to add the Quartet for Mideast Peace with representatives of the League of Arab States (LAS).

“When anyone says ‘let’s resume the multilateral format’ I believe the time has come to add the Quartet with the LAS representatives,” Lavrov told Rossiya24 TV Channel on Friday.

“I think that the Quartet should involve the Arabs, primarily Egypt, in working out decisions instead of inviting the LAS to inform it about what was agreed earlier. The Arabs should participate in the process itself,” he said.
