MOSCOW, July 17. /ITAR-TASS/. The Moscow region is continuing to provide medical help to refugees who fled the conflict-gripped Ukraine’s south-east as 940 people, including 417 children and 67 pregnant women, have turned for medical assistance to regional health institutions, the press service of the regional healthcare ministry said on Thursday.

“At least 139 refugees have been taken to hospitals while acute respiratory diseases, traumas and infectious diseases urged the refugees to turn to doctors,” it said.

Earlier, the regional lawmaker, Alexander Dvoinykh, said that at present 8,500 Ukrainians were staying in the region, with 2,150 children among them.
